How to Update

1
Connect your Unicount to your computer using a USB-C data cable. Make sure it's a data cable, not a charge-only cable.
2
Click "Connect & Update Firmware" above. Your browser will ask you to select a serial port — pick the one for your device.
3
Wait for the update to complete. Progress will show on screen. Do not disconnect the device during the update.
4
Done! Your Unicount will automatically restart with the new firmware.

No serial port appears

You may need USB drivers. The Unicount uses a LilyGO T-Display S3 board. Most use the built-in USB, but some may use a CH340 or CP2102 chip. Install the appropriate driver: CH340 drivers · CP210x drivers

Device not entering flash mode

Try this: hold the BOOT button on the board, press and release RESET, then release BOOT. The device should now appear as a serial port. Then click the update button.

Update fails or times out

Try a different USB cable (many cables are charge-only). Try a different USB port. Avoid USB hubs if possible.

Device boot-loops after update

Try the update again with the "Erase device" option checked. This does a full clean flash which usually resolves partition conflicts.

Browser not supported

Web Serial is only available in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge on desktop computers. Mobile browsers and Safari/Firefox are not supported.
